Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is a condition where bones become thin, weak and fragile, such that even a minor bump or accident can cause a broken bone. Osteoporosis occurs when the bones lose minerals quicker than the body can replace them. They then lose strength and break easier.

There are usually no signs or symptoms of Osteoporosis, therefore most people don't realise that they have osteoporosis until they experience a fracture. Treatment for Osteoporosis can include diet and lifestyle changes, as well as medication. Treatment depends on your overall risk of fracture.
